Nothing is ever as it seems!

Since this is my first blog, I shan't bore you with the sad and sometimes comedic details of my life just yet. I needed this to be somewhat of an introduction of who I am, and a way of getting my feet wet, since I decided to create this blog on a whim.
As many of you know, I am a single mother of a four year old named Sapphyre and she will be five years old on January 12th! And it is absolutely so hard for me to believe I have been able to keep another human being, besides myself, alive for so long...go ME! I also, up and left my home, The Bahamas, to move to Canada a few days before my daughter's first birthday to somehow "start over" and boy oh boy, just wait until I tell you how THAT started! Let's just say it involved a lot of tears and a little regret. I'll also tell you in my next post about how Canada was even an option for me!
In closing though, I would like to say that sometimes, things are not always as they seem. I know there are a lot of young women that look up to me, and all they see is what I show them, but they don't really understand how I got to where I am, where my determination and motivation begins and ends, and how I encourage myself to keep going on a daily basis. But for now, I would like to say that, everyone of us have our own story to tell in hopes that it inspires the other person to inspire someone else!
I do hope that you continue to follow along and follow my journey and I hope my story blesses everyone who stops by.
